From our farm to your freezer! All of our meat is 100% Red Angus beef that's born and raised on our farm. Our animals are forage raised and grain finished for healthy growth and incredible satisfying taste. Our beef is processed at a USDA inspected facility and individually labeled and dressed in white freezer paper.
In an effort to supply our regular market beef customers all year round, even when the markets are closed until the next season, Deer Run Farm is now offering SHIPPED beef bundles.
Beef Bundles include a variety of steaks, roasts, ground and further processed beef items like hot dogs and Italian sausages.
All beef bundles will be packed frozen in insulated shippers with snuggly fit frozen gel packs and shipped via UPS with guaranteed next day delivery. Beef bundles will be filled on the nearest Monday or Tuesday of when the order was placed.
For customers willing to travel to the farm, all of our retail beef cuts are available right off of the farm in our on farm store. Stop by our farm to visit our small store front and buy some beef! Store hours are Monday through Wednesday 9a-5p, Saturday and Sunday 10a-3p. Always call ahead - we have to run errands every once in awhile and would hate to miss you. If these hours don't work for you, call us! We're always happy to accommodate our customers!
Wholesale: Deer Run Farm offers wholesale beef to families looking to save a few dollars and trips to the local grocery store. Wholesale orders are usually taken seasonally between August and May. We offer whole, half and quarter animals at a wholesale price of $3.25/lb per hanging weight. A quarter averages about 190lbs which works out to be about $617.50 not including the butcher's cut, wrap and freeze fees (estimated at $0.65/lb). A quarter averages a take home weight of 130lbs. One can expect roughly 35 steaks (if cut to 3/4" thickness), 8 roasts (about 3lbs each) and 75+/- lbs of ground beef unless you opt for stew cubes also.
