These Delawares pullets are being sold at a discounted rate because they are not breeding or show quality birds. These will still be excellent birds that will lay beautiful eggs and forage well. Their lack of vitamin and mineral absorption during incubation caused them to develop crooked toes while growing. The crooked toes do not bother them nor hinder them in any way.
Our Delaware pullets will be 8-12 weeks old upon shipment. Our line of Delaware usually begin to lay between 20-22 weeks of age. Allowing your pullets time to adjust and become accustomed to their new home will help keep them on track with their laying cycle.
